On a lighter note, our final days in LA also enabled us to visit the famed Universal Studios (there are some pics in the slideshow). As with everything in LA, it was an exagerrated and overhyped thing. The rides basically sucked except for the studiotour. This tour really showed that Hollywood is so disturbingly fake it's not funny anymore. Especially when we saw Desperate Housewives' "Wisteria Lane" which is so small and ugly in real life you wonder if they weren't just kidding. What was impressive though, was the set of Steven Spielberg's "War of the Wolds" (you know the one were the plane has smashed a suburban neighborhood. Anyways, after the park, we got everything ready at our sleazey motel (the same were Jim Morrison spent his days boozing, shooting up, and snorting) to go the FIJI! Yes... away with the concrete bunkers, crowded streets, but also the beautiful nature of California. We had a blast now on to the next!!! See ya!
