Off to Muir Woods

So after a decidely longer stay in SF-town, we headed up north towards the John Muir Woods (which is a small national park). Since the effort to go up all the way to Northern California to see the REAL Redwood National Forest was too big and probably too unrewarding (or we were short on time ;-) for a 5-7 hour trip, we decided to settle for something smaller. Hence, the Muir Woods. And guess what, we did see some impressive "twees" after all. Did you know that these babies can grow up to approximately 120 meters! (300 ft) They are the highest trees in the world as opposed to the Sequoia's which are the largest in sheer size. The Muir Woods provided a small escape from the busy city and we did some hiking there to find inner peace again... yeah right! On to the next location!
